Replacing STR Type Trip Units on Masterpact M ACB's
Due to the inherent problem with the Merlin Gerin STR range of trip units, many Customers find that they develop a spurious tripping problem (see explanation of the "low load" issue) which trips the breaker without there being a real fault. Just inconvenient? Well, dependent upon the downstream loads supported by the ACB, possibly on the first or second occurrence, but when there are critical loads - or the number of times it happens starts to rack up, then it becomes far more of a commercial issue.
That is why we offer a supply, fit and test service for both replacement original trip units made by Schneider, as well as alternate manufacturer's trip units. Following the issues with the STR range, Schneider now claim to have fixed the issue and we are awaiting the test details to back up this claim (we will display them here as soon as they are provided). We are also proud to say that we were the first UK based company to introduce alternate manufacturer's trip units into the country, and have continued to be first call for support for many UK companies - large and small - with replacement Masterpact M trip units, and of course general ACB support.
